Managing Medical Marijuana

Approximately 33 states and the District of Columbia currently have laws legalizing marijuana use in some form. Ten states allow recreational use while the remaining states allow marijuana for medical uses.

Even though marijuana is becoming more legal and does possess medical uses, health concerns do exist:

Pastor and Congregation:

Thank you for being so thoughtful.

Thank you for the use of the church for the graduation party.  We’ve had so many important family events there—baptisms, confirmations, birthday celebrations – it was special to have this there as well.  This has been an emotional time for my family—it isn’t easy to watch your baby prepare to leave and become a grown up.  But I know she has a strong foundation in Christ and lots of people praying for continued success.

With love,

Cherlyn McBride and family

We have received this note from our adopted Seminary Student:

Ladies of St. Paul’s,

First and foremost—We thank you so much for your support in the first half of our seminary experience in Fort Wayne!

I have been assigned to be a vicar at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Lincoln, Nebraska!  My supervisor will be Pastor Clint Poppe.  Following a couple short summer classes, we will be moving in the first half of July to begin on July 15.  We are currently in the process of making moving plans as the Spring quarter is about to come to an end.

The congregation that I am assigned to has a Lutheran School with a classical-based curriculum where our daughter will attend.  I will be assisting in teaching Latin and Religion to the students.  I ought to begin to learn some Latin!

Thank you once again for the support.  It has been truly helpful and a blessing to us.  We will stay in contact!

In Service to Christ,                                       You are truly servants of Christ!

Daniel Golden                                                       Bless You All!!

We already have a new adopted Seminary Student for next year.  Gunner Campbell, who is Cindy Meister’s nephew, who is married to the daughter of  Rev. Peter Glock’s [Pastor at Zion Lutheran, Wenona].  In the 1950’s  a Rev. Ernest Glock was our interim pastor for St. Paul, Chenoa and St. Paul, Lexington

Our congratulations to Christine [Jolly] Lujano who was among the graduates at University of Illinois this May.
